San Jose City College has officially opened a new $112 million Career Education Complex, designed to serve as a 'workforce development engine' for Silicon Valley. The complex, located at the heart of the campus, spans approximately 120,000 square feet, combining a new 90,000-square-foot building with a renovated 30,000-square-foot facility. This new hub aims to consolidate various departments, including computer science, medical assisting, and electrical engineering, into a single interconnected site. The facility is intended to reflect real-world workplace environments, providing students with a comprehensive educational experience that aligns with industry needs. The center also features comfortable study areas, allowing students to remain on campus for extended learning opportunities.
