Canadian Woman Suspected of Abducting Children to Israel, Police Seek Public Assistance
Israeli police are seeking public assistance in locating Alia Joy Hirschberg, a Canadian-born Israeli woman, and her two young children, amid suspicions of abduction. Hirschberg, aged 20, reportedly left with her children, 3-year-old Tala Reisel and 1-year-old Natan Yaakov Verona, following a dispute with their father. The family entered Israel in August 2025 and has since been untraceable. A private investigator suggested they might be in Jerusalem, prompting the police to launch a search operation. The case is being handled by the Lev Habira police station in the Jerusalem District.
