Private Jet Crash in Dominican Republic Claims Two Lives, Was En Route to Pick Up MLB Legend Yadier Molina
A private jet crash in the Dominican Republic resulted in the deaths of the pilot and co-pilot. The aircraft, a US-registered Gulfstream G200 Galaxy, was on its way to pick up former St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina and his family in Texas. The jet encountered issues shortly after takeoff from La Romana International Airport, prompting an emergency return attempt. Unfortunately, the plane crashed in a fireball, killing the crew members on board. Molina, who played his entire career with the Cardinals and is a two-time World Series champion, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased pilots via social media. Dominican authorities have initiated an investigation into the crash, with assistance from specialized agencies to determine the cause of the failure that led to the emergency landing.
