California Lawmakers Urge Action on Goat Herding Overtime Exemption to Prevent Industry Collapse

The exemption expired on July 1, creating operational challenges for herd owners who require continuous care for livestock. The lawmakers emphasize that without relief, many businesses could close, reducing California's capacity for wildfire mitigation and increasing costs for state and local governments.
