U.S. Military Conducts Drone Strikes on Iranian Sites in Response to Aggression
The U.S. military executed a series of drone strikes targeting Iranian radar and drone command-and-control sites located in Goruk and on Qeshm Island over the weekend. According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), these 'measured strikes' were a response to aggressive actions by Iran, including the downing of a U.S. MQ-1 drone that was operating over international waters. The strikes, carried out on Saturday and Sunday, resulted in the destruction of Iranian air defense systems, a ground control station, and two one-way attack drones. CENTCOM confirmed that no American service members were harmed during these operations.
