Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts Launches Series on Women's Role in Philanthropy
The Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts has initiated a series of discussions focusing on the evolving role of women in philanthropy. The inaugural event, led by Erin Thomason, the foundation's director of philanthropy, gathered community members, advisors, nonprofit leaders, and philanthropists to explore how women are shaping the future of charitable giving. Panelists shared insights on charitable planning, financial stewardship, and aligning values with giving. The discussion emphasized that philanthropy is not limited to the wealthy but involves using time, talents, and resources to strengthen communities. The event highlighted the growing financial influence of women, who are expected to control a significant portion of the estimated $30 trillion wealth transfer in the U.S. by 2030.
