World Economic Forum Highlights India's Rise as Electro-Tech Manufacturing Hub
The World Economic Forum (WEF) has reported that India is rapidly emerging as a global hub for electro-tech manufacturing. This development is driven by India's strategic use of low-cost solar energy and battery technology, allowing the country to bypass traditional fossil fuel-heavy growth models. The WEF notes that solar energy now accounts for about 9% of India's electricity, with a significant reduction in coal use per capita compared to China. The report highlights India's advancements in electric vehicle adoption, with electric three-wheelers making up nearly 60% of the market. India's electronics sector has expanded significantly, supporting growth in solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicles.
