President Trump Nominates Christopher Anderson as U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia, Ending Two-Year Vacancy
President Donald Trump has nominated Christopher Anderson, a seasoned diplomat, to serve as the United States Ambassador to Cambodia. This nomination ends a vacancy that has persisted for over two years since the departure of former Ambassador W. Patrick Murphy in May 2024. Anderson, a career Foreign Service Officer, has been with the U.S. Foreign Service since 2005 and has extensive experience in international diplomacy, particularly in Eastern Europe and Ukraine. His nomination has been submitted to the U.S. Senate for confirmation.
