South Florida and Caribbean Leaders Collaborate on Hurricane Preparedness
As the 2026 hurricane season begins, officials and disaster response teams from South Florida and the Caribbean convened in Doral, Florida, to enhance regional coordination and rapid response strategies. The meeting focused on preparing for what is expected to be another active hurricane season. Community efforts are also underway, with free hurricane supplies being distributed in Miami-Dade and Broward counties this Saturday. This initiative is supported by CBS Miami and the Global Empowerment Mission, aiming to ensure residents are better equipped to handle potential storms.
