Abra and Etihad Forge Partnership to Enhance Connectivity Between Latin America and Middle East
Abra Group, the parent company of Avianca and Gol, has signed a preliminary partnership agreement with Etihad Airways to enhance connectivity between Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. The partnership aims to expand cooperation through reciprocal loyalty benefits, commercial collaboration, and codeshare agreements, with plans to launch these initiatives in 2026. Additionally, Gol and Etihad are considering a potential dry lease of an Airbus A330-900, with a target start date in November. Spanish charter carrier Wamos Air, part of Abra, is expected to support Etihad's expansion plans.
