Stitt highlighted a 'shot clock' policy for state permits, inspired by Pennsylvania, which aims to reduce bureaucratic delays by making permits free if not completed within 30 days. He emphasized that regulatory costs have become a hidden tax on consumers. Stitt also defended Oklahoma's data center policies, which include a ratepayer protection law and a closed-loop water system requirement. On workforce development, he shared insights from a trip to Switzerland, advocating for apprenticeships and changes in liability laws to allow high school students to work in companies. Regarding healthcare, Stitt proposed block-granting Medicaid funds to states, allowing them to tailor coverage to specific populations.
