Two Individuals Arrested in Raleigh County Following Fraudulent Burglary Report
In Raleigh County, West Virginia, Lucas Boggess, 40, and Adrianna Smith, 28, have been arrested after an investigation into a reported burglary revealed inconsistencies in their accounts. Raleigh County Sheriff Frank Priddy stated that deputies responded to a burglary report in the MacArthur area on June 13, where Boggess and Smith claimed several valuable items had been stolen from their residence. However, investigators uncovered numerous discrepancies between the information initially provided to law enforcement and subsequent details given to their homeowner’s insurance company. As a result, Boggess faces charges including one count of attempt to commit felony, one count of fraudulent insurance scheme, one count of conspiracy to commit an offense against the state, and 22 counts of forging and uttering.
