Residents of the Devons Road estate in Tower Hamlets, East London, have been facing a prolonged water supply crisis, with many unable to rely on running water for up to a year. Beatrice Asante, a resident, describes the struggle of living without a reliable water supply, which has left households unable to wash, clean, or cook properly. The issue has persisted despite the landlord, Poplar Harca, beginning to address the problem after months of delay. The lack of water has forced residents to rely on bottled water, with some only receiving water during the night. The situation is exacerbated by the ongoing heatwave, which increases the need for water.
