National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir Expands Gun Access in Israel, Including Caesarea
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has approved the expansion of eligibility for personal firearm licenses to additional cities and communities across Israel. This decision includes areas such as Caesarea, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's family resides, as well as Arad, Rosh Pinna, and several communities in the Upper Galilee and Emek Hefer regions. The expansion is part of Ben-Gvir's ongoing firearms reform, which has significantly increased civilian access to firearms since October 2023. Over 250,000 Israeli civilians have received personal firearm licenses under this reform. Ben-Gvir has consistently advocated for civilian access to firearms, arguing that it enhances national security and allows residents to defend themselves and their families.
