Evacuations Continue as Florida Fire Reaches 1,500 Acres
A fast-growing brush fire near Naples has burned 1,500 acres since igniting Monday, with evacuations still in place as of Tuesday. The blaze, located near Interstate 75 in Collier County, remains only partially contained as crews work around the clock to slow its spread. Firefighters conducted controlled burnouts overnight and reinforced protective lines to safeguard nearby homes. Dry conditions, drought and gusty winds continue to fuel the fire, while smoke may drift across surrounding areas, keeping residents on high alert.
