One Man Injured in Fort Lauderdale Shooting Following Police Intervention in Fight
Authorities in Broward County, Florida, are investigating an overnight shooting in Fort Lauderdale that left one man injured. The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. in the area of Southwest Second Street and Third Avenue. Police officers were already on the scene breaking up a fight when they heard a gunshot. Multiple individuals were detained at the location, and investigators recovered one firearm. Initially, no victims or injured persons were found at the scene. However, shortly after the incident, a man arrived at Plantation General Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. According to police, this victim has not cooperated with investigators regarding the shooting. One person who was detained at the scene, an alleged innocent bystander, reported being handcuffed without explanation.
