Maine Coach Ryan Jennings Drowns Saving Children from Rip Current in Florida
Ryan Jennings, a respected coach and father from Maine, tragically drowned while saving his children from a rip current during a family vacation in Juno Beach, Florida. Jennings, along with his wife Emily and their three children, was visiting his parents in South Florida. On Wednesday afternoon, two of his children were caught in a rip current while swimming. Jennings heroically swam out to rescue them, successfully saving their lives but losing his own in the process. Geraldine Ollila, a family friend, described the Jennings family as an ideal family and praised Ryan as a hero. Emily Jennings, who recently discovered she is pregnant with their fourth child, remains in Florida with her family. A GoFundMe account has been established by Ollila to support Emily and her children during this difficult time.
