North Aurora Man Charged After Hit-and-Run Injures Pedestrian in Batavia
A 28-year-old man from North Aurora has been charged following a hit-and-run incident in Batavia, Illinois, where a 69-year-old pedestrian was injured. The incident occurred early Friday morning at the intersection of South River Street and East Wilson Street. The pedestrian was crossing with the walk signal when he was struck by an SUV, which then fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police used security footage to identify the suspect vehicle, a black Toyota Highlander, and subsequently arrested Jacob P.G. Belarmino. He faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an injury accident, a felony.
