South Bend Schools Expand Pre-K Programs with Six New Sites for 2026-27
South Bend schools are set to expand their Pre-K programs by adding six new sites for the 2026-27 school year, increasing the total number of sites to 14. The new locations include Coquillard Elementary School, Edison K-8 School, Darden Elementary School, Monroe Elementary School, Madison STEAM Academy, and Wilson Elementary School. This expansion aims to provide more families with access to high-quality early learning opportunities close to home. The program is open to children who are four years old by August 1 of the enrolling school year, with potential tuition assistance available through Indiana's On My Way Pre-K program. Enrollment is currently open, and the district encourages families to apply promptly due to limited space.
