Escalation in Iranian Cyber Attacks on U.S. Critical Infrastructure
U.S. cybersecurity, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies have reported an escalation in Iranian hacking campaigns targeting critical infrastructure sectors. These attacks focus on publicly exposed programmable logic controllers and supervisory control and data acquisition systems, aiming to cause disruptive effects within the United States. The targeted sectors include government services, water and wastewater systems, and energy.
