International Association of Maritime Clusters Expands Membership to Enhance Global Cooperation
The International Association of Maritime Clusters (IAMC) has announced the addition of 17 national and regional maritime clusters to its membership. This expansion aims to foster improved cooperation and the sharing of best practices across the global maritime industry. The new members include clusters from various countries such as Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Ukraine, as well as the Isle of Man, South Africa, Monaco, the UK, and the USA. The IAMC, led by Peter Shaerf, Chairman of New York Maritime (NYMAR) and President of the IAMC, seeks to promote the global maritime ecosystem by aligning shipowners, ports, energy providers, and service companies worldwide. The association provides a unified voice to engage with international bodies like the International Maritime Organization and aims to translate local challenges into global policy recommendations.
