Pomona Officials Investigate Inappropriate Images in Recreation Guide
Pomona city officials have initiated an investigation following the discovery of pornographic images in at least two copies of the city's summer recreation guide. The guide, which is distributed to thousands of residents, typically includes information on local activities such as senior walking groups, cooking classes, and youth sports and music programs. However, some copies were found to contain eight pages of 'non-City material,' including inappropriate images. Assistant City Manager Mark Gluba confirmed the presence of these images in two copies and stated that the city is assessing the extent of the issue. The city, which mails out over 22,000 copies of the guide, has suspended further distribution and is working with publishing and printing partners to determine how the material was included. An online version of the guide, free of the inappropriate content, is available on the city's website.
