Chesterville Man Dies in ATV Accident After Failing to Yield at Intersection
A Chesterville man, Michael Kidd Jr., 35, was killed on Saturday after his 2005 Honda ATV was struck by a 2006 Toyota Camry. The incident occurred at the intersection of Cohoon Road and Vienna Road in Chesterville, Maine. According to investigators from the Franklin Sheriff’s Department, Kidd Jr. allegedly failed to stop or yield at the intersection before entering it, leading to the collision. The impact ejected both Kidd Jr. and his passenger, Karrie Phenes, 46, from the ATV. Kidd Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Phenes sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by helicopter to a Portland Hospital. The driver of the Toyota Camry, Christopher Roe, 38, of Vienna, was involved in the collision. The crash is currently under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
