Republican Candidate Tom Tiffany Campaigns in Osseo, Vows to Protect Wisconsin Farmland from Data Centers
Republican candidate Tom Tiffany recently campaigned in Osseo, Wisconsin, focusing on agricultural concerns and promising to protect the state's farmland if elected. Tiffany stated his intention to end tax incentives for data center developers and ban non-disclosure agreements that currently obscure project details from public scrutiny. He emphasized that companies should bear the full cost of their energy needs and that the conversion of agricultural land for solar production, particularly to power facilities like those in Mount Pleasant and Port Washington, should be halted. Tiffany projected that if Wisconsin becomes a 'worldwide hub' as suggested by his opponent, David Crowley, hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland could be converted, which he views as detrimental to Wisconsin's agriculture. Tiffany is set to face Democratic candidate David Crowley in the upcoming November election.
