Obuasi Trade Show to Boost Local Economy with Expanded 2025 Program
The Obuasi Trade Show is set to return from December 17 to 20, featuring its most ambitious program since its inception in 2019. The event, held at Black Park near Len Clay Sports Stadium, aims to strengthen local businesses and boost the economy of the Obuasi municipality. The show is organized in partnership with the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, Obuasi East District Assembly, and Akrofuom District Assembly, with strategic support from AngloGold Ashanti and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA). This year marks GEPA's first involvement, which is expected to enhance exhibitors' branding, packaging, and export readiness. The trade show has evolved into a comprehensive economic development platform, providing training, market access, and business networking opportunities. Since its inception, the show has trained over 1,000 businesses, created 1,049 jobs, and established 168 new businesses.
