ICE Agents and Honduran Man Hospitalized After Highlandtown Encounter
In Highlandtown, Baltimore, a confrontation between ICE agents and Ever Alvarenga Rios, a 32-year-old Honduran man, resulted in serious injuries for Rios and two ICE agents. The incident occurred on Haven Street, where Rios was reportedly rear-ended by ICE agents while driving to work. Rios, who is seeking permanent citizenship, sustained injuries to his head, chest, back, and hands and is currently hospitalized in ICE custody. The Eldridge Crandell Law Firm, representing Rios, claims the agents acted violently. However, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) states that Rios attempted to evade arrest, leading to a multi-car pileup and his subsequent attempt to flee on foot. DHS describes Rios as an illegal alien with a final removal order from a judge.
