Chicago's 23rd Disability Pride Parade Highlights Inclusion and Community Support
Chicago recently hosted its 23rd annual Disability Pride Parade, an event that celebrates the achievements and cultures of individuals with disabilities. The parade, which began near the Harold Washington Library and concluded at Daley Plaza, featured live music and informational booths from various organizations. The Great Lakes ADA Center, a key participant, provided resources and guidance to attendees. The event saw participation from both individuals with disabilities and their allies, marching to promote visibility and inclusion. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson officially recognized July as Disability Pride Month, further emphasizing the city's commitment to disability rights and awareness.
