Chicago's Englewood Sees New Homeowners Through City's Rebuild Program
In Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, two formerly vacant properties have been renovated and are now welcoming new homeowners as part of the city's Rebuild Program. This initiative, supported by the Department of Housing and various community partners, aims to revitalize vacant properties on the city's South and West sides. The program has successfully rehabilitated over 70 homes, with more in progress, providing affordable homeownership opportunities and fostering community development. The recent ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the transformation of these properties, highlighting the program's role in addressing historic disinvestment and promoting economic growth in underserved areas.
