Renewvia Energy Corp. Plans $750 Million Solar Expansion in Africa
Renewvia Energy Corp., an Atlanta-based solar energy company, is set to expand its operations into Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This expansion is part of a $750 million investment aimed at providing approximately 2.1 million electricity connections. The initiative is part of a broader effort to address energy poverty in sub-Saharan Africa, where nearly 600 million people lack access to electricity. Renewvia's expansion aligns with the Mission 300 initiative, supported by the World Bank and African Development Bank, which aims to connect 300 million Africans to electricity by 2030.
