Taylor Farms Recalls Jalapeno Products Due to Salmonella Concerns
Taylor Fresh Foods, the parent company of Taylor Farms, has announced a voluntary recall of certain products containing jalapenos due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall affects products such as guacamole, pico de gallo, and taco dip, which were distributed across multiple states and sold at major retailers including Kroger, Stop & Shop, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Walmart. The recall follows a similar action involving iceberg lettuce linked to a cyclospora outbreak. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are investigating the outbreak, which has been traced back to a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico.
