Grandmother Launches Nationwide OUR50 Project to Educate Children on U.S. States
Marlene Graham, a grandmother from Southwest Florida, has launched a nationwide educational initiative called OUR50. This project is inspired by her family's legacy of traveling to all 50 U.S. states, a journey first undertaken during America's Bicentennial celebration in 1976. The initiative aims to educate children about the unique aspects of each state through monthly state-themed educational boxes, virtual learning experiences, and community partnerships. The project is designed to help children explore the history, culture, and natural wonders of each state, fostering a sense of national unity and understanding. The first educational box will focus on Florida, with plans to expand to other states.
