Congressman Ben Cline and Opponent Beth Macy to Launch 2026 Campaign at Buena Vista Labor Day Event
Republican Sixth District Congressman Ben Cline and his Democratic opponent, bestselling author and former Roanoke Times reporter Beth Macy, are scheduled to make their first joint appearance at Buena Vista's 55th annual Labor Day celebration on Monday, September 7. They will deliver stump speeches at Glen Maury Park, officially launching their fall 2026 campaign. This event will also feature appearances by Democratic U.S. Senator Mark Warner and his Republican opponent, Bert Mizusawa, a retired U.S. Army major general. Additionally, state representatives from the Rockbridge area, including Republican state Senator Chris Head, Republican Delegate Ellen McLaughlin, and Republican Delegate Terry Austin, are expected to address the gathering.
