Chick-Fil-A Data Breach Exposes Personal Information of Over 2,000 Texans
A recent cyberattack on Chick-Fil-A's website and mobile app has potentially compromised the personal information of more than 2,000 customers in Texas. The breach, which occurred between June 17 and 19, was disclosed by the fast-food chain in a letter to affected customers across 10 states and Washington, D.C. The exposed data includes names, birthdays, email addresses, payment information, phone numbers, and membership numbers associated with Chick-Fil-A One loyalty accounts. In response, the company has logged out all accounts and removed stored payment information. Additionally, Chick-Fil-A has restored any affected loyalty balances and added extra rewards to the impacted accounts as a gesture of appreciation for customer loyalty.
