Pasadena Homeowner Uses Security System to Deter Burglars
A homeowner in Pasadena, California, successfully scared off four masked individuals attempting to break into his home. The incident, which occurred around 11:15 p.m. on a Friday, was captured on surveillance video. The homeowner and his wife were watching television when they heard their side gate slam shut. Upon checking his camera feeds, the homeowner saw the masked men in his backyard. He activated motion lights and a security system that loudly warned the intruders they were being recorded and instructed them to leave. Despite the initial warning, the men continued into the backyard. The homeowner then confronted them by yelling and turning on additional lights, while an internal alarm sounded. This direct confrontation and the alarm prompted the men to flee the property and drive off in a waiting car. Pasadena police were called, but the suspects had already left the scene, and no arrests have been made.
