Wildfire Forces Evacuations in Windy Southern California
A fast-growing wildfire, known as the Springs Fire, erupted in Southern California on Friday, driven by strong winds. The blaze, which started around 11 a.m., quickly expanded to cover approximately 6.5 square miles (16.8 square kilometers) by the evening. Located east of Moreno Valley in Riverside County, the fire prompted evacuation orders and warnings for residents, although the exact number of affected households remains unclear.
