MOL Receives New LPG-Fueled VLGC for TotalEnergies Charter
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has taken delivery of a new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dual-fuel very large gas carrier (VLGC) named Energia Grandeur. The vessel, built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, will operate under a time charter contract with TotalEnergies. The dual-fuel capability allows the ship to run on LPG and heavy fuel oil, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 20% and other pollutants by 90% compared to traditional fuel. The vessel is also designed to transport ammonia, enhancing its versatility.
