Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh to Participate in 9/11 25th Anniversary Reflection Panel
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh is slated to participate in a panel discussion commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks. The event, titled '25 Years After 9/11,' is organized by the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government. Justice Kavanaugh, who served as associate counsel in the White House under former President George W. Bush on 9/11, will join other distinguished panelists to reflect on their personal experiences and the enduring impact of that day on American civic life. The discussion aims to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and explore how the events of September 11 continue to shape understandings of citizenship, solidarity, sacrifice, and leadership. The panel will also consider what these experiences can teach a new generation about the responsibilities of life in a constitutional democracy. The event is part of the annual Jeanie Poole O’Shaughnessy Memorial Lecture series.
