Los Angeles Police Department Investigates Fatal DUI Crash in North Hollywood
In North Hollywood, two pedestrians were killed in an alleged DUI crash early Sunday morning. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 2:25 a.m. on Colfax Avenue. The suspect, identified as Vidal Cruz Jr., allegedly struck two individuals who had exited a car, before crashing into multiple parked cars. One victim, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman in her 50s died later at a hospital. Cruz, a resident of Pacoima, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, with bail set at $4 million. The LAPD is urging anyone with information to contact their Valley Traffic Division.
