Israel Allocates NIS 26 Million for Education Excellence Centers in Northern Towns
Israel's Education Ministry has announced a NIS 26 million investment to establish regional excellence centers in northern border communities. This initiative aims to enhance educational programs in advanced technology, STEM, arts, and sports, in collaboration with local authorities, academic institutions, and philanthropic organizations. The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) supports this plan, which builds on a model developed with Homeward/Habaita following mass evacuations after the October 7 attacks. The initiative seeks to restore stability and encourage families to return to the region by providing consistent, high-quality education.
