Labster Research Highlights Confidence Gap in Online STEM Education
Labster, a leader in immersive STEM education, has released new research indicating a significant confidence gap among students in online and hybrid STEM programs. The study found that 40% of fully online students have questioned their ability to complete their programs due to inadequate hands-on lab experiences. The research highlights that while flexibility draws students to these programs, the lack of experiential learning is a major factor in retention challenges. The survey included 411 students from the U.S. and Canada, revealing that 41% of students feel a lack of hands-on learning makes them reconsider completing their programs.
