Augusta Groups Collect Book Donations for Student Summer Reading
Several Augusta-based organizations, including the United Way of the CSRA, The Hub for Community Innovations, RISE Augusta, and the Dr. Paulette P. Harris Literacy Center, are collecting book donations for the Book Bash 2026. The initiative aims to provide local students with access to high-quality reading materials during the summer. The goal is to distribute 1,500 book bags, each containing five to six books, to children ranging from infants to high school seniors. Donations of new and lightly used books are being accepted until May 22, with drop-off locations available at the United Way office in Augusta.
