Christian Bale Launches $22 Million Foster Care Village in Palmdale, California
Actor Christian Bale has officially opened 'Together California,' a $22 million foster care village located in Palmdale, California. This initiative, which took 17 years to bring to fruition, aims to provide a stable and supportive environment for children in the foster care system. The village spans 11,000 square feet and features 12 furnished homes specifically designed to keep siblings together, a critical aspect often lacking in traditional foster care placements. Additionally, the facility includes two studio apartments intended for young adults transitioning out of foster care. Bale, known for his role as Bruce Wayne, emphasized the project's goal to transform the 'heartbreak and pain' of foster children into 'love, hope, and a sense of future.' The project was co-founded by Bale in 2008, with groundbreaking occurring in 2024, and it officially opened its doors recently. Families are expected to begin moving into the village next month.
