63-Year-Old Cyclist Dies in Provo Crash Near I-15 Off-Ramp
A 63-year-old bicyclist was killed in Provo, Utah, after being struck by a car at the intersection of Lakeview Parkway and University Avenue, near the Interstate 15 off-ramp. The incident occurred on Monday morning, shortly after 8:00 a.m. According to the Provo Police Department, the vehicle was exiting the freeway when it collided with the cyclist. The victim was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Following the crash, the northbound lanes of University Avenue were closed to traffic, with authorities advising drivers to anticipate delays and seek alternative routes. The road was expected to reopen by noon.
