National Science Foundation Unveils New Programs to Advance U.S. Science and Technology
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced a series of new programs and initiatives designed to support the vision outlined in the White House report, 'Science: A New Golden Age.' These efforts aim to enhance how the NSF evaluates and supports scientific endeavors, leverage super intelligence for accelerated discovery, and invest in exceptional students and early-career researchers. Key initiatives include investments in the National Math Stars and NextGen Workforce programs to broaden scientific and technical career pathways for talented Americans. Additionally, the NSF is launching two Grand Research Challenge (GRC) prize competitions to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and drive rapid advancements in critical science and technology areas.
