HCA Florida Memorial to Honor Four First Responders for Heroism
HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is set to honor four first responders for their exceptional service during an EMS Recognition Ceremony. This event, part of National EMS Week, will take place on May 21 in the ambulance bay parking lot of the hospital. The honorees, who hail from fire stations in Duval and St. Johns counties, will be recognized for their acts of heroism. Their stories will be shared publicly before they receive the prestigious HCA Florida Healthcare Challenge Coins. The ceremony will feature guest speakers including Reed Hamond, CEO of HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Bradley Elias, medical director of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. Other speakers include medical directors and officials from the hospital. The event will conclude with a group photo of all EMS responders and hospital staff, and refreshments will be available for attendees.
