Gasoline Tanker Erupts in Flames After Collision in Texas, Driver Critically Injured
In Fort Worth, Texas, a tanker truck carrying 9,000 gallons of gasoline erupted into flames after colliding with another vehicle and knocking over power lines. The incident occurred near a Valero gas station, where the truck spun off the road, causing gasoline to leak. The downed power lines ignited the leaked fuel, resulting in a fire around 1 a.m. The driver of the 18-wheeler attempted to prevent the gasoline from draining into the parking lot but was critically injured and hospitalized with burns. Fire crews worked for hours to control the blaze, using water and sand to contain the gasoline. The fire was intense, with witnesses reporting feeling the heat from a distance.
