Salvation Army of Hattiesburg Opens Angel Tree Registration for Children and Seniors
The Salvation Army of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, has commenced its annual Angel Tree registration, aiming to provide Christmas gifts to eligible children and seniors. The registration period began on Monday and will continue until Thursday. Parents are required to register in person, while seniors can register by calling the Salvation Army directly. This initiative is a crucial part of the organization's efforts to ensure that individuals in need within the community experience the joy of Christmas. Last year, the program successfully provided gifts to 525 children and 100 seniors. For the current year, the Salvation Army has set an ambitious goal to increase the number of beneficiaries, targeting 625 children and an increased number of seniors. Captain Nathaniel Revaula emphasized the importance of the program, especially given the financial struggles many families face, highlighting its role in allowing children to experience the festive spirit.
