Prostate Cymru Walkers Near Completion of 1,000-Mile Charity Challenge
A team of walkers supporting Prostate Cymru is nearing the end of a 1,000-mile journey around Wales, having raised over £200,000 for specialist cancer nurses. The walk, which began on June 27 from Cardiff, aims to raise £300,000. The final stretch will take place on August 9, from Rodney Parade in Newport to Cardiff Arms Park, where they will be joined by rugby legend and Prostate Cymru ambassador, Sir Gareth Edwards. The initiative includes awareness talks and PSA testing events, encouraging men to get tested for prostate cancer, especially those over 50 or with a family history of the disease.
