Qantas and Jetstar Expand Flights for Foo Fighters Concert in Tasmania
Qantas and Jetstar have announced the addition of nearly 1,500 extra seats on flights to and from Launceston, Tasmania, to accommodate fans attending the Foo Fighters concert. The concert, scheduled for January 24, 2026, coincides with the Australia Day public holiday, making it one of the busiest travel weekends for the state. The additional capacity includes six QantasLink flights from Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, with Jetstar also increasing seat availability by deploying larger aircraft. The airlines are responding to a surge in demand following the concert announcement, ensuring fans have more travel options.
