Las Vegas Approves Tiny-Home Community to Address Housing Crisis
Las Vegas City Council has approved a new tiny-home community aimed at providing affordable housing. The project, Sunridge on Searles, will feature 50 custom tiny homes on a 2.25-acre lot. Developed by Accelerated Real Estate using Boxabl materials, the homes will rent for $1,000 per month, including utilities. Boxabl, known for its factory-built, foldable modular housing, aims to address the housing crisis through scalable solutions. The project is seen as a step towards alleviating the affordable housing shortage in Las Vegas, where median rents have risen significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic.
